kitchen decor

I always have a hard time with finding the right objects to decorate the kitchen with, especially when it comes to hanging things on the walls. Before I painted the kitchen I had those sticker decals on the wall. Just something for the "meantime". One of them spelled out the word EAT. Seen here:

 So I decided that was an appropriate word to hang on the kitchen wall. I went to Michaels craft store and picked up some wooden letters (2.99 each) and painted them black. I love the way this looks so much better!

Then I hung them up and I LOVE the way the black looks against the wall color! An easy and cheap DIY for some fun kitchen wall decor.
